Duty Deacon
Deacon Dave Brown is the duty deacon for the week of October 8th - October 15th. He will be on 24 hour call to address your prayer and spiritual needs, and matters requiring church support. Tribe of Issachar The Tribe of Issachar (September) would like to invite our fellow saints to a Community Day at Rhodes Jordan Park, in collaboration with The Georgia Baptist Mission Board (GBMB), on November 11, 2017 from 11 am to 3 pm. We will be giving out information about New Jerusalem, fellowship with the community, and praying with the people of the community. There will be free food. Medical and dental services will be provided for the community by the Georgia Baptist Mission Board. The Congregational Nurse Ministry is reaching out to the congregation looking for a Medical Doctor who is willing to sign a prescription for oxygen so that oxygen will be available at the church for the members as needed. This charity event begins at 9am and we begin walking @ 9:30am. Paint Gwinnett Pink 5K Walk/Run Daryl and I will be participating in the Paint Gwinnett Pink 5K Walk/Run for Breast Cancer on Saturday October 7 at Cool Ray Field. Most of you know that I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in March of 2015, what many of you don't know is that I was diagnosed on my birthday. I had surgery 4 rounds of Chemo and 33 Rounds of Radiation Treatment and am happy to report that I am 2 years Cancer Free. I had a great Team of Physicians and an incredible support system but that is not true for everyone. Most of us know someone who is currently fight or perhaps has lost their battle. Now it is more important than ever to support this cause with the ongoing battles or healthcare affordability and coverage for pre-existing conditions. I have included a link to my page as well as a video link with additional information on the event and this cause.
