The Christian Education Ministry serves the educational needs of the congregation and community as we seek to accomplish the Great Commission as mandated in Matthew 28:18-20. Our programs and activities serve to fulfill the three elements of Discipleship: Learning, Equipping and Ministering. We strive to teach the word of God in a nurturing and loving environment that encourages students of all ages to learn and understand the relevance of God's word as well as its liberating and redemptive properties.
DANCE MINISTRY
DEACON'S
The NJBC Deacon Ministry assists the Pastor with baptizing, counseling, visiting our sick and shut-in, attending to bereaved families and supporting the Pastor on preaching engagements in and out of the city.
Family Life
The family Life Ministry exists to provide areas of church fellowship and family enrichment. The Family Life ministry is instrumental in planning events such as the Annual Church Picnic, and Family and Friends Day. This ministry also seeks to bring enriching help into the body of Christ such as Personal Finance Workshops, Wellness Workshops, and Annual Church Retreats.
Finance
The mission of the Finance Ministry is to emphasize that stewardship is God's command for replenishing the treasury of the Church, to develop and seek spiritual-based challenging ways to increase the financial resources of the Church and to diligently manage the Church's finances so that we may serve New Jerusalem and the community.
Children's Hour of Power
Children's Hour of Power Ministry, just like the Jr. and Sr. High Ministries is an exciting ministry that motivates children grades 1- 5 to develop a Christ like spirit in their homes, schools, church and community. Activities are continually being provided such as lock-ins, visits to care facilities, group outing, school and community beautification, outreach block parties, regular monthly meetings and fun, fun, fun.
Married Couples
The Married Couples Ministry is a ministry designed to enrich and enhance the marital relationship. This is accomplished by outings, fellowship, workshops and retreats.
Men's
The Men's Ministry emphasizes growing godly leaders as we seek to be more effective in our home, community and church. Our ministry is built on the belief that faith is a manly virtue, existing not only for men but endeavoring to get every man to support every phase of our church's work. Will plan work as well as fellowship opportunities.
Music
The choirs of the New Jerusalem Baptist Church sing praises to Jesus Christ and worship Him through music and song, as well as render musical support of the Gospel as preached by the Pastor. The choirs seek to inspire and uplift the congregation and visitors of the church.
