First Lady, Angelyne Collins
First Lady, Angelyne Collins, is a native of Savannah, Georgia. She is the youngest of four children born to Gloria Wilson Edwards and Joseph Edwards, Sr. She graduated Salutatorian of her class at Tompkins High School. She attended the State University of West Georgia and graduated in 1990 with a degree in English, and a Masters of Art degree in Media Technology. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and has always sought to reach out to the community through activities such as peer counseling, tutorial programs and volunteer programs. She is a Media Specialist with Walton County School District, and is pursuing her PH.D. at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia.
Sister Collins enjoys cooking, reading, writing and a variety of music. But above all, she enjoys spending time with her family. Her two heaven-sent treasures, Joshua and Elise are her greatest accomplishments. Her favorite Scripture: I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me. Philippians 4:13. Her favorite sermon is One Good Eye by Pastor Collins. First Lady and Pastor Collins have been married for 18 years, each day sweeter than the day before. She and Pastor Collins exchanged vows in 1991 in Savannah, GA.
Sister Collins is involved in many ministries in the church and leads the women's ministry which she has named, Women Of the Word, W.O.W. This ministry empowers, encourages and helps women build a stronger relationship with God.
